Inner Mongolia Arxan Yi’ershi Airport

Inner Mongolia Arxan Yi’ershi Airport 內蒙古阿爾山機場 (IATA: YIE, ICAO: ZBES) is an airport serving the city of Arxan (A'ershan) in the Hinggan League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. Due to the upper-mid latitude and elevation of around 1,000 m (3,280 ft), the climate of Arxan is a subarctic, with strong monsoonal influence, severely cold winters and warm, rainy summers, and low temperatures averaging below freezing for eight calendar months. The tough climate is the key challenge. Our parent company AICC and its subsidiaries were the general contractor for the whole airport project, including runway construction, airfield and terminal full set equipment supply and installation. Some of the equipment were tailor made to meet the special need of high-altitude climate.
