Instrument Landing System  (ILS)

The Instrument Landing System (ILS) is an internationally normalized system for navigation of aircrafts upon the final approach for landing. ILS provides precision guidance for a safe approach and landing using a combination of radio signals and high intensity lighting arrays to enable a safe landing under low ceilings or reduced visibility due to fog, rain, or blowing snow.

ILS Features
In severe weather or poor visibility conditions, it can be difficult for pilot to locate the runway, ILS will provide the aircraft a reliable approach and landing path. It allows pilots to locate with precise lateral and vertical guidance to approach and land on the runway.
